Tomorrow 15 students from Concepción and the 5 students that went to Mexico will travel with Profe Henglyns and myself to Tegucigalpa for a 2-day robotics conference. We received a special invitation from the Honduras STEM Foundation and will have a table to display our robot “Pablo” and describe his journey to Mexico. They want us to share about FIRST Global. We will observe the national lego robotics competition, where the winner will complete internationally in Thailand. There are more than 65 robotics teams from around Honduras competing. Next year, our Conce kids hope to be one of those teams! Further, there will be conferences to attend about STEM, specifically interesting to me is the conference titled “Women in Science.” The Concepcion robotics club took the initiative to set this trip up and we are very pleased by their interest and dedication. Hopefully we come back to the Frontera inspired and having learned a lot.

Mañana 15 estudiantes de Concepción y los 5 estudiantes del equipo que fue a México van a viajar con el Profe Henglyns y yo hasta Tegucigalpa para una conferencía de robótica de 2 días. Recibimos una invitación especial del Honduras STEM Foundation y vamos a tener una mesa para mostrar nuestro robot “Pablo” y describir su viaje a México. Quieren que compartamos sobre FIRST Global. Vamos a observar la competencia nacional de robótica de Legos, donde el ganador va a competir en el nivel internacional en Tailanda. Para el próximo año, nuestros estudiantes de Conce esperan formar uno de eso equipos! Además, van a tener conferencías que vamos a asistir hablando de STEM, específicamente interesante a mí es la charla llamada “Mujeres en Ciencia.” El club de robótica de Concepción tomó la iniciativa para coordinar este viaje y estamos contentos con su interés y dedicación. Ojalá regresaremos a la Frontera inspirados y con mucho nuevo aprendizaje.
