Excited to receive more resources
We begin the year with positive news and are full of satisfaction. Thanks to the efforts and great donors, more boys and girls will have the opportunity to learn about STEM Education.
Having obtained positive responses to the different requests made last year, we sincerely appreciate the help that each donor provides to the NGO to support the countless projects we develop in our beloved Honduras. Thank you for trusting us, the robotics coordinators, to manage the different resources with which we will continue to contribute to STEM education for children's future.
Pre-school and elementary Lego program.
Last year, we held a regional Lego competition in which five kindergartens participated. We were delighted with the number of skills the children acquired in the competition. This year, we embarked on a new adventure in Lego construction, expanding the project to more pre-basic education and elementary schools. Our philosophy is that when we work shoulder to shoulder, more great things happen. To confirm this, we met with the departmental director, Gloria, to discuss initiating the Lego program in the pre-schools. She is excited to support and involve as many schools as possible.
Other branches
We are working on a new 3D modeling learning project on the Tinkercad platform. For the very first time in their lives, students will have the opportunity to understand the use of MakerBot 3D printers and other related devices. They will also learn how to design and print all their previously created sketches. you can read more about this..
We desire to expand our knowledge to as many students as possible. To fulfill this objective, we are also working on the Vex educational robotics modality and creating all the documentation (game manuals, court, and general rules) for this year's competition, which will be held physically under the name STEM SOCCER LEAGUE.
On the other hand, we are supporting the development of the regional Lego robotics competition, which we founded. Today, the AMFI community (Association of Border Municipalities of Intibucá) leads this wonderful project. This year, we provide technical support for the competition and donate the kits and Lego pieces necessary to develop it.
All of this would not be possible without the support of the organization's president, Dr. Richard Butten, Executive director, Laura Manship, and our great donors.
As confucio said, "The best way to be happy is to contribute to the happiness of others."
