Due to the continued generosity of Dr. Dick, Instituto Monsenor Alonso Villanueva, the San Antonio high school gets their tablets! Professor Disney, the math teacher, has proved to be extremely dedicated to his work, and profoundly appreciative of our support. In February we brought him a server and router for KA Lite. It was all of the equipment we were able to bring at the time. The high school didn’t even have a projector to work with. With just the server and router he went on to create an individual account for each of his students and they utilized the program with whatever they could – mostly sharing the few personal phones and tablets they had. Disney, along with the principal Milton worked to get a projector from the mayor’s office at the end of March.
It was our pleasure to bring them 30 tablets, and extra special that Dr. Dick was able to be present for the delivery. It was Dick’s first time visiting their school. They still need about ~8 more to cover their largest class and fill their request, but those will be brought when we are able to get more to Honduras.
We are confident in the success and continued use of this program in San Antonio and we admire their effort in the improvement of the education of their students.

A causa de la generosidad continua de Dr. Dick, el Instituto Monseñor Alonso Villanueva, el colegio en San Antonio recibió sus tabletas. El profesor Disney de matemáticas se ha demostrado ser muy dedicado a su trabajo y profundamente agradecido de nuestro apoyo. En Febrero trajimos a él un servidor y un router para KA Lite. En ese tiempo fue todo el equipo que pudimos proveer. El colegio ni tenía un data show. Con solo el servidor y el router él creó una cuenta individual para cada uno de sus estudiantes y ellos utilizaron la programa con lo que pudieron – por la mayor parte compartiendo los poco celulares y tabletas personales que tenían. Disney, junto con el director del colegio profesor Milton trabajaron para pedir y conseguir un data show del alcalde al fin de Marzo.
Fue nuestro placer traerles unas 30 tabletas, y fue muy especial que Dr. Dick pudo estar presente para la entrega. Fue la primera vez que Dick visito a su centro. Todavía necesitan más o menos 8 tabletas más para cubrir su clase más grande y cumplir con su solicitud, pero esas tabletas les vamos a llevar cuando podemos traer más a Honduras.
Estamos seguros en el éxito y uso seguido de este programa en San Antonio y admiramos su esfuerzo en el mejoramiento de la educación de sus estudiantes.
