Educational Technology Revolutionizes the Classrooms of Intibucá

The commitment to educational development and digital transformation in the department of Intibucá continues to advance at a steady pace. Thanks to a strong strategic and governmental partnership, two schools in the region have received state-of-the-art technological equipment, marking a milestone in the way local children and youth will access knowledge.

An alliance for digital educationThis im

portant donation is the result of a coordinated effort that began two years ago through a key agreement between the organization Hombro a Hombro and the Municipality of Intibucá with Mr. Norman Sánchez, mayor at the time. Giving continuity and strength to this project, the new municipal mayor, Ing. Iván Pineda (pictured along with Dr. Richard) who led the official delivery of the equipment, demonstrated that education is a central priority of his management.

 

 

Likewise, this initiative is firmly supported by the agreement with the Lenca Eramaní Mancomunidad, whose main objective is to close the technological gap and continue strengthening digital education in the municipalities of La Esperanza, Intibucá, and San Francisco de Opalaca.

                                   Equipping schools

The distribution of the equipment was carried out strategically to enhance the multimedia and technical capacities of the students:

  • Valero Meza,  a model shool. Located in the Lempira neighborhood of the municipality of Intibucá, and its director is Licda. Eva Vásquez. They  received 8 televisions from the Intibucá mayor's office, directly benefiting 509 children in the second and third cycles who also use the Kolibri platform. In addition, the Shoulder to Shoulder delivered a robotics kit directly, benefiting 196 third-cycle students and opening the doors to science and programming.

During this ceremony, CEB Union Centroamericana also received- 3 55-inch televisions: This schools is located in the community of Monquecagua, municipality of Intibucá, its director Mr. Jorge García. with this project 82 children of the third cycle are benefited, and 110 children using the Kolibri platform of the second and third cycle, with these tools the dynamics of the daily classes will be transformed.

Televisions and delivered equipment are not just screens; they are windows to global knowledge. All this technological infrastructure will serve to enhance the use of Kolibri, an educational platform designed to bring high-quality academic resources to communities with or without internet access.

With these actions, Intibucá is positioned at the forefront of rural education, demonstrating that when municipalities, NGOs and gret donors work hand in hand, the future of children is filled with great opportunities.
