A Partnership that Transforms Lives
From May 6 to 18, 2024, leaders from 17 municipalities across four mancomunidades participated in an extraordinary training tour to become certified as municipal technical support for Kolibri. This marks a significant step forward in improving education in our region. The strategic alliance between local governments, the Ministry of Education, and the Hombro a Hombro Organization is ushering in a new era of opportunities and development.
A Bright Future for Our Students
Kolibri is a revolutionary platform providing free access to thousands of world-class educational resources without requiring an internet connection. Successfully implemented in Intibucá, this project aims to expand further, thanks to the training of 24 municipal technicians and 63 teachers from the 17 municipalities in the Intibucá Department.

Hombro a Hombro will continue to support and guide municipal technicians to overcome the challenges of this innovative educational technology. Our mission is clear: to build capacities within local structures to deliver quality education to every corner of our community, dismantling barriers to access and inequality.

Kolibri’s transformative power is already making a difference. Students now have the opportunity to grow professionally, steering clear of paths of violence and inequality. Education is improving their lives and those of their families, reducing family disintegration, illegal immigration, school dropouts, early pregnancies, and child marriages.
