Reading is a weapon to overcome ignorance!
One of our main goals as an NGO is to give everyone the opportunity to read. We know books are expensive, and not everyone has the chance to buy and stock as many as they want. However, each family has at least one cellphone that can be used to read whenever they go to town. We started this project in Camasca you can read more at: Promoting Reading through the Implementation of Public Digital Libraries.
As the mayors are taking leadership and ownership of the projects in their municipalities, we will continue helping them to achieve these dreams together, shoulder to shoulder.
Today, July 02, 2024, we are pleased to share that a new municipal library has been inaugurated in San Juan, Intibucá.
In the pictures, the staff from Shoulder to Shoulder gave the devices with the digital library to the mayor and the IT person from San Juan Intibucá.
In the following video, Major Ariel invites the population to visit and connect to the municipal library.
