On August 19th, Honduras witnessed a transformative event: Educa Digital 2025, a national gathering of 11 leading educational organizations. Of course, Hombro a Hombro was present, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive and sustainable educational transformation.
This space for dialogue and exchange enabled us to reflect on the progress made, identify shared challenges, and—most importantly—renew our collective commitment to building a digital education system that is inclusive, high-quality, and accessible to all students nationwide.

During our participation, we shared Shoulder to Shoulder’s journey: from a dream planted in rural communities to a reality that now impacts over 20,000 students and 500 teachers in more than 130 schools in Intibucá and Lempira.
We showcased initiatives that are transforming lives:
- Kolibri: a free, offline platform aligned with the national curriculum, democratizing access to learning.
- Regional STEM Center: where robotics, programming, and 3D printing spark creativity and critical thinking in our youth.
- Reading Program: now a national benchmark, with over 30,000 student readers guided by 500 teachers in 255 schools.

At Educa Digital 2025, we reaffirmed that education is not just about transmitting knowledge—it’s about providing tools so that every child can dream, create, and build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Our vision is clear: to expand high-quality educational opportunities throughout Honduras, especially in rural and underserved areas. We deeply believe in the potential of Honduran children and youth. If we provide them with inclusive digital education, they will find their way toward a more just, equitable, and peaceful country.
