Lego Mindstorms has taught us how to coexist with the world in the best possible way. In this case, through the Earth Allies challenge—an initiative that seeks to raise awareness about the relationship between people and the planet, and how our actions can contribute positively to its well-being and conservation.

Teams are prepared in advance to take on the challenge presented to them. With a laptop or tablet and a bit of imagination, they program a robot using code, designed to help them analyze how robots can contribute to better coexistence with the Earth.

The Association of Border Municipalities (AMFI) once again took part in the competition, promoting innovation, creativity, and technological learning in the region. AMFI plays a fundamental role in organizing and carrying out the event, ensuring efficiency in the different stages of the competition process and encouraging active participation from students and communities.

The manager of the Mancomunidad highlighted the importance of strengthening education in the municipalities that make up the association, fostering interest in science and technology, and providing opportunities for children and young people to participate in these robotics projects.

Special Visit

This year, we were honored by the visit of Shoulder to Shoulder’s president, Richard Buten, and Executive Director Laura Manship, who joined us for this annual robotics event. Both recognized the performance of the teams in the competition, reaffirming their commitment to continue supporting more young people through the expansion of educational equipment.
