In the heart of Intibucá, technology doesn't just arrive as televisions, tablets, or servers; it arrives as a real opportunity for change. Through the partnership between Hombro and Hombro para los Niños and the Kolibri platform, we are building a support network to ensure no teacher feels alone during this digital transition.

Training that Multiplies

The work of Hombro a Hombro para los Niños goes beyond hardware and software. Today, our strategy focuses on local empowerment and self-sustainability. We are currently training the technical staff of four intermunicipal associations (AMFI, MANCURISJ, MANLE, and MAMUNI), thereby achieving strategic coverage across all 17 municipalities in the department of Intibucá and two in the department of Lempira

Why is this vital? Because they are the first point of contact and the strategic allies who will be in the field training the teachers at each school. By training these municipal leaders, we seek to:

  • Sustainability: The knowledge remains within the community.
  • Support: Teachers receive close and constant technical support to confidently use Kolibri in their classrooms.
  • Educational Quality: We facilitate access to digital content aligned with the National Basic Curriculum, even where there is no internet.

Working shoulder to shoulder to achieve the goals

Seeing the commitment of the educational authorities, the mayors, and the municipal teams  it confirms that we are on the right track. It's not just about installing an application; it's about building capacity so that the children of our region have the necessary tools to excel in an increasingly technological world.

We continue moving forward, one municipality at a time, with the conviction that innovative education is the engine of transformation for our Lenca children and all of Honduras.

This picture demonstrates the high level of commitment of the teachers to strengthening their skills. The technical team from Intibucá can be seen conducting a training session for educators in that municipality.

"Technology opens doors, but it is shared knowledge that allows us to cross them."
